What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Human Care receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

The brutally cold weather is taking its toll on refugees and in other parts of the world. They are forced to survive the freezing nights in makeshift tents with no resources to keep themselves warm. It’s hard for them to protect themselves in the relentless cold without warm clothes, blankets, food, proper shelters and heaters.

Human Aid is working on the ground to ease the situation and help these people survive this weather. The refugees need your help more than ever. Share the gift of warmth with millions of people in need this winter.

Your donations will help provide a family with food packs, blankets, heaters and a place that can shelter them from the cold weather.

Coal Supply Package

Help us supply coal this winter to the marginalized community for their heaters.

This will help in keeping them warm in this extreme weather. If families don’t have coal for their heater, they will usually resort to burning other things in desperation.

They are risking inhalation of toxic fumes from the plastic and rubbish they burn to survive. Keep a family safe by supplying them with the coal they need for the winter.

Coal Heater

In these extreme weather conditions, children die in their camps because there is no heating.

Giving a coal heater and a 3-month supply of coal to a family in a camp who is suffering every winter from the extreme cold will provide them the means to keep themselves warm this winter.

The cold is forcing families to sit at home wrapped up in clothes and blankets trying to stay warm. Some who can afford to buy wood are burning it for warmth, and others who can’t afford to buy wood are burning items such as clothes, plastic, and rubbish in order to survive.

By providing a family with a heater you will alleviate their worries by keeping their home or shelter safe and warm for their children and elderly.
